have always prioritized my academic achievements for the pursuit of higher success. Yet I have engaged in a variety of activities that have made me a more mature, well-rounded person. An organization, named Interact Club, had a significant impact in leading me to gain leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
One of the first interact club events I took charge of organizing involved reading to kids at an underprivileged elementary school. I served as the role model for a large group of curious young students and gained a more insightful perspective of the substantial impact that my volunteer work actually has on the community. Reading to kids is one example of an Interact event that influenced me into becoming a more effective communicator with different types of learners.

I was elected as the president of Interact Club during my second year as a result of my dedication and passion to the volunteer services of this organization. Within my school, I advocated and promoted the importance of offering hands-on service projects to local communities. As the leader, I delegated responsibilities to each member of my organization based on their strengths in order to maximize my group’s efficiency in completing the tasks at hand. I initiated an Interact event that involved the volunteers from my region to in collaborate and build a grand Rose float to showcase at the Tournament of Roses Parade.
