Snap chat & Facebook Over the past few years snap chat had witnessed rapid growth among teenagers and adults. On the other hand, Facebook had been witnessing growth over a longer amount of time than any other social media network. Teenagers and adults at younger age loved the idea of snap chat and the new way of communication that had not existed before. With no doubt Facebook has always been the number one social communication network. If it was not for Facebook then all the newer social media networks have existed. With every new network the competition goes back to Facebook, and people start comparing the features with Facebook.
Snap chat however started a new way of communication that allows the user to send a picture that will be deleted from the receivers phone automatically after a maximum of ten seconds. However the users are tricked in some way with all the new hacks and apps that have been showing up. Facebook on the other hand saves and shows the user that their data and updates are saved throughout the many years. These social media networks influence teenagers and adults both positively and negatively. Without a doubt these networks influence all the users behaviorally and psychologically.
The Idea of snap chat is not only sending pictures with short texts that will disappear in ten seconds. Snapchat had opened up people’s minds to see different cultures daily. Every day snap chat shows the users a short story of a different cultures from users that live in different countries. Snap chat also offers stories from live events that are going on around the world. This shows the users what’s going on around throughout the day. Snap chat has also updated their app in showing daily news from different T. V channels. Within only four years of its start ate, snap chat had increased its users to one hundred million daily app users by May of this current year 2015. Apps like snap chats convinces the user that the picture they send is removed from the receivers phone within ten seconds. However, new apps have been created to save the pictures being sent through the snap chat app without the sender knowledge. These apps are apps like Snap-Hack and many more. This is a problem that people should be aware of; this is because these can expose many private pictures that the users might not be aware of.
Even if these apps did not exist the users should also be aware that anything that is sent vie the Internet is automatically saved and have to go threw programs that save them. Just because the users cant see that the picture is saved that doesn’t mean that they are safe. Just like any other social media network, Snapchat can cause humans to think that not meeting face to face is not an issue. However, the old traditional way of meeting up with someone face to face is the healthiest way to interact with people. As the time goes by and social media expands, we tend to forget or not care in a way about meeting people face to face.
Snap Chat is a good way to show people the nice things you experience when you are far away from them, for example when you are in different countries. This however should not prevent us from heading to the airport, book a ticket and take a flight to see the ones we love. Snap Chat may lead user to thinking that because an event is live on the app; they don’t have to experience it in person. Snap Chat should be a way to advertise the good things going around in different cultures and making the users want to see it more in person.
With every positive thing there is a negative side, this however is the negative side to the app. Users that cant afford seeing whatever is going on around the world and in different cultures every day can view whatever they’re missing out threw and app like Snap Chat. Facebook, the one social media that has over one billions users, as this number increases daily. By October of 2012 Facebook has announced that they are providing one billion users with their services. Just like any other social media, Facebook has been updating its system to be better and invade more privacy.
Facebook however, not like any other social media, tells the users straight up that there privacy is being invaded and the users are fine with. Most people are not aware that is a huge problem, and it can be not a big of a deal if the users are cautious of what is posted and what is sent via the network. Facebook K is a great way of being updated with what is going on around the world. It always the users to see events, create events, and invite people to them. This social media known as Facebook allows the users to follow their favorite celebrities, politicians, favorite news channels, sport teams and many more.

Facebook is the social media that created built in games on the website for those that would like to play a game as they are checking on their friends news and the worlds news. Once Facebook was created it opened up people’s minds in different ways to see what’s going around daily. The pros of Facebook are endless to the users. Even if a user is not into world news, or what is going on around the world they can view it if a friend of theirs share a post about it. This attracts the user that does not care to start thinking about how important what is going around in our world is.
As it was mentioned earlier, with every positive there is a negative. Facebook allows the user to post whatever they want to post without any limits, unless whomever the post offends reports the post that offended them to the company. However, this creates more hate than there is into the people. How many suicide cases have we heard that where caused by social media cyber bullying. Even though Facebook every day builds more privacy options into the network barely any user uses it. Facebook allows the users to add friends that they have never met in their real lives, just like any other social media network.
This however can be avoided by increasing the privacy level on the users account. Some users however don’t take these steps, simply because they don’t feel the need or urge to take it. Facebook however can take these steps for the users where they can prevent people from adding others that they don’t ow. This increases the safety level for the users and leads other social media networks into doing the same thing. The amounts of teenagers that have been adding unknown people have increases throughout the years. The idea Facebook has created has without a doubt increased the knowledge of the users in many different positive ways.
The way the media whether it is false or true media being posted on Facebook has led the users to think twice about what’s going on around the world. At times like this where the attacks on different countries have been increasing and people have been dying on a daily basis, its good to have a way of connections with people on the different side of the earth via Facebook. I can’t find a better example than myself, where when the attacks in France took place last month Facebook had notified me that my friends in Paris are safe.
In conclusion, Snap Chat and Facebook are only two out of many other social medias that changes the people’s mindset and mentality. This gives anyone at any type of age the connection to people that they don’t meet on daily basis. Between our work, studies, or whatever any human being is busy with in their lives social media network connects us. Every person can use anything positive and turn it into a negative thing, its just human nature. However websites like Facebook, and apps like Snap Chat should spread more awareness to the users that everything is saved on to some type of database.
Facebook has been the reason of unemployment of a lot of people and employment of others. This is due to the free accessibility to any users account by the job the person is applying for. Snap Chat has caused many good friendships to end and at the same times started some friendships. The way people think about these social media if it’s between these two, which are Facebook and Snap Chat, or any other ones like My space, Hotmail, Instagram, twitter and many others, should change and look more onto the negative side for owning an account or not.
The way the news are starting to reach us are helpful in many ways, it increases the way people think and gives the users an easier version of knowing what’s going on around. The way Facebook links people into the simplest ways like games, and direct messages has started a lot of ideas for many other websites and many others. Every day there is a new user to these social networks; with every new user someone’s life is changing into either the better or the worst. Our society needs to change its mind set about these website not all to the cons of them, but also to there positives.
The way the amount of new appliers is increasing every day; we should not just find Facebook and Snap Chat or any other social media network just a way to waste our time. These types of social media networks can increase the knowledge of many people. The world need to open up their minds and brains to these networks and work on helping them grow better into a more healthy way. Owners of these apps and website can offer much more to the users, just like they are doing on daily basis. With Facebook, twitter and Instagram all three find a way to connect to each other and share posts from the same social media onto another.
Snap Chat is an app that can offer to be connected to another. With unity these networks can offer so much for the users. We witness cyber-bullying daily on any social media network, these actions by user affect the others in many different negative ways. Stopping these actions like cyber bullying and many other negative actions is so easy to the social media networks, yet so hard for people in their daily lives. These types of actions can be stopped in many different ways in our normal life away from the social media network life.
However, these websites can help the users out in different ways other than just blocking the cyber bullies. Hacking into each others privacy and invading it should have harsher penalties for those who try to do it, but not only succeed at it. These social media networks for instance can increase the privacy level way more that whoever tries to invade another’s privacy is denied to do that. “Where there is unity there is always victory. ” Publilius Syrus said this quote, which these social media networks can apply to each other and unite to increase the users knowledge.
