I adhere to the strictest form of the Seven Army Values: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honour, integrity, and personal bravery. These principles are my way of determining what is best for me when making choices and recommending both reward and punishment. A good command climate is essential in any company’s ability to complete its goal. I think CEOs should always keep these values in mind. When leaders live by them , a good atmosphere develops.
When leaders do not adhere to the values, a negative climate exists. It’s that simple. In my opinion, education is the key to success. I am a firm believer that everyone has the ability to learn if they are willing to put in the effort. A good teacher can make all the difference in a student’s life. I was very lucky to have had several great teachers throughout my school career. They pushed me to be better and instilled in me a love of learning. I try to remember their example when working with soldiers.
I believe that every leader has an obligation to develop subordinates. This is not only for the benefit of the organization but also for the individual leader. Leaders who take the time to develop those around them create an environment of trust and respect. This environment is essential for any organization to function properly.
I am also a strong believer in the chain of command. I feel that it is important for everyone to know their role and be held accountable for their actions. The chain of command provides stability and order within an organization. It is important that leaders uphold the chain of command and enforce it when necessary.
I hope that this philosophy will help you to understand my leadership style and how I approach my work. I believe that by adhering to these values, we can create a positive command climate and achieve success in whatever we do.
