Boston Tea Act Essay

The Boston Tea Party was by Massachusetts colonists on December 16th 1773 at the Boston Harbor. The colonists were disguised as Indians to retaliate against the Tea Act as they boarded three British Tea Ships. They were dressed as Indians because they no longer considered themselves British. The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliament on March 22 1765. The new tax was imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. This included Ship’s papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, and other publications, and even playing cards was axed.

The Identification between the two is the Boston tea party showed the colonies felt disrespected by the Acts Great Britain Passed. When certain acts was passed the people couldn’t rebel against Great Britain because they had no other source of paper and other resources. The Boston Tea party gave them an opportunity to display their anger from all past acts they felt was unfair such as the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act added fuel to the Fire that led to the Boston Tea Party. Mercantilism and Head Right System. Mercantilism was the theory of trade espoused by the major European powers from roughly 1500 to 1800.

It advocated that a nation should export more than it imported and accumulated gold to make up the difference. The exportation of finished goods was favored over industries like farming. The Head right System was created by New settlers in Jamestown Virginia. It was in 1618 by new settlers receiving 50 acres of land. This system was put in place because the emergence of tobacco farming, a large supply of workers was needed. The system was practiced mainly in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland. The Identification between The Head right system and Mercantilism is trading was required to improve inner goods.

In The Head right system new settlers and farm workers were coming in to improve tobacco farming and in return given 50 acres of free land, and Mercantilism was raw materials going to Europe from North America and Slaves coming from Africa. The two system’s valued exportation to improve inner living. Article of Confederation and The United States Constitution. The Articles of Confederation was adopted by the continental ongress November 15,1777 and created by the new government and it served as the written document that established the functions of the national government of the United States.

It declared independence from Great Britain. Though Ratification of the Articles of Confederation by all thirteen states did not occur until March 1, 1781. The United States Constitution was presided by George Washington, signed on September 17, 1787 in Philadelphia at a Constitutional Convention. The Identification between The Article of Confederation and United states Constitution is both ystem made an effort to set everlasting rights for citizens. Before the two system was put in place power had to be taken and adjusted.

Colonies took and adjusted power from Great Britain for the Article of Confederation. Power was changed and adjusted from the confederation because of fear of anarchy for the United states constitution. Bacon’s Rebellion and Shay Rebellion Shays Rebellion was led by Daniel shay 1786 in western Massachusetts. It was done by him and followers protesting foreclosures of farms due to debts and eventually shutting down the court system. Bacon’s Rebellion was by Nathaniel Bacon and settlers 1676 in Virginia in the rule of Governor William Berkeley.

They revolted because of William Berkeley refusal to retaliate against the Native Americans threats towards English Colonists.. The Identification between the two rebellion is both had a disagreement with higher power. Daniel shay felt the debts was unfair so him and some followers rebelled against the Court of Common Pleas in Northampton, the goal was to prevent the trial and imprisonment of debt- ridden citizens. Bacon’s Rebellion was because Governor William Berkeley’s refused to retaliate against the Native Americans response to attack English colonists.

The two rebellion made an effort to improve citizens living conditions. Quakers and Klu Klux Klan Quakers was a religious society of friends founded by Georgia Fox in 1650 and was founded in England. They were devoted to peaceful Principles. Their belief is the doctrine of the “Inner Light,” or sense of Christ’s direct working in the soul. This has led them to reject both formal ministry and all set forms of worship. The klu klux klan was founded on December 24th 1865. The founders were retired confederate veterans from Pulaski Tennessee.

Their main focus is white supremacy and terrorizing other groups and they tend to be anti-black, anti-Catholic and anti-Semitic. The identification between the KKK and Quakers is a strong belief system. The Quakers believed everyone should believe in God, peace and nothing else. The KKK believed everyone should be against blacks and any other groups or society against them. The two society believed what’s good for them is good for everyone else and the outside opinion is irrelevant.
