Every story needs a conflict, and every conflict needs to be dealt with. It tells a lot about a character how they deal with every uprising they may run into. Within three different stories I have read in class there have been many examples of conflict. A Person vs self conflict is when a character is in a conflict with themselves. Person vs person is when a character is in conflict with one or more other characters. Person vs nature occurs when nature brings a character conflict.
Much like any other story, Alma, from Time of the Wolves developed a person vs self conflict. Alma is the type of person who demonstrates a caring personality, and will do what needs to be done. Alma doesnt enjoy Sarahs company, nor does she enjoy the weather,…

Alma did what had to be done and never gave up. Never giving up, Shackleton and his crew had to overcome many challenges due to nature. When the ship initially crashed the crew hoped that they could get it unstuck, unfortunately for them their ship tumbled down. Throughout all of this, every individual had to be persistent, daring, and unwilling to give up. Much like the Shackleton crew, Every individual from Into Thin Air, had to deal with frigid weather. Anywhere from the wind to the snow, the weather was a huge issue. Not only was harsh weather an issue, but lack of oxygen from high altitudes was consistently an uprising. Anywhere from a night at base camp to surviving the death zone, every individual had to be strong, and…
