In 1274 BC there was a battle called the Battle of Kadesh, this battle was for Egyptian peace. The battle was between the New Kingdom of Egypt and the Hittite Empire; the Hittite Empire was a large and strong army compared to Egyptian army. The Egyptian army did not prepare for a battle but for an agreement. In 1938 Neville Chamberlain was the Egypt, he went to make peace but got a killing of innocent people.
Neville Chamberlain with all of his success he had a lot to live up to in his childhood, but became general with lots of duties and lead England through the strain and danger of other countries. Neville Chamberlain was born on March 18, 1869, in Birmingham, England” (“Chamberlain 1″). He lived a well childhood with his father being a British statesman and his mother was a loving mother that stayed home with her two children. Neville Chamberlain was born into a famous political family. Both of Neville Chamberlain’s brothers are marked in politics. With no worries he had to live up to his father with all the success he had in his life. Neville Chamberlain made great grades and was one of the top kids in his grade from knowledge.
Neville Chamberlain went to school in Birmingham at Rugby School. Neville Chamberlain went to college in the Bahamas at the Mason Science College for business, which ultimately failed but he had proved himself in business and managing. So in 1911 he was elected to the Birmingham Council. He married Anne Vere Cole the same year and they eventually had two children named Dorothy and Francis. Neville Chamberlain became lord mayor in Birmingham in 1915, arguably the second city in England. “Before long, he became a figure on national political cene” (“Chamberlain 1”). Neville Chamberlain won election to the House of Commons in 1918 as a member of the Conservative Party. In 1922 Neville Chamberlain rose in office when they realize what good he had been doing. In 1924 through 1929 Neville Chamberlain served as Minister of Health under Stanley Baldwin, Neville Chamberlain gained reputation for his toughness in his duties. In 1930, Neville Chamberlain became chairman of the Conservative Party. He then used his talents for economics and business, for six years he was the chairman.
When Neville Chamberlain became prime minister of Britain he had lots of duty in his job. Like he had to sign reasonable documents when need or file paper work when he need to do so. He has so select members of the cabinet and decline whether they would fit the job or not. But one of the main things he had to do was check up on if the countries taxes where right, if they were in debt, and pay the bills from the president’s office or the legislative’s office. The reason he was put to this job is because he was good at managing money and business.
Neville Chamberlain went to college for financing and business and he set his mind to what he could do. The British government loved Neville Chamberlain for his skill and neatness with all of his work and Neville almost moved up a branch because of his skills and readiness for every obstacle. “After holding several important ministerial posts, he succeeded Stanley Baldwin as Prime Minister in May 1937” (“Salmaggi 10”). Although Neville Chamberlain had a lot of duties, doesn’t mean he succeeded in all of them either.
Neville Chamberlain had a political price for failure of Britain in Norway in the spring of 1940 In 1937, Neville Chamberlain became prime minister of Britain, but because of his unrelenting fight for peace everyone thought of Neville Chamberlain as weak. “A scholarly consensus had emerged over time in the wake of World War II revising the image of Neville Chamberlain as a feckless, blundering dove” (Tharoor 1). In 1936 Neville Chamberlain was going to make peace with Adolf Hitler at Berchtesgaden in an attempt to resolve the conflict. They signed three documents to make the crisis vanish and to resolve it in peace.
One of the documents said that Poland and Germany would never go to war again signed by Neville Chamberlain and Adolf Hitler. Hitler was planning this because he used the British was a strong country and he knew what would happen to his country if he were to get in any sort of trouble with them. And that’s when Adolf decided to change the plans and attack Poland anyways so that he could take over more land. So now most people call Neville Chamberlain scared and people feel rancor towards him. But Neville Chamberlain was a well thought-out man, so he decided to make peace with other countries and turn towards Adolf and Germany.
Neville joined the Allied Powers and warned United States of America about the situation at hand, because he knew we were the most powerful country in the world. When he warned the U. S. it took the several weeks to get the message to them because they didn’t have the technology and connections we have today. When the U. S. got the message they went to the concentration camps and took them over and saved many of the Jews. Well Britain decided Neville Chamberlain was a weakling and picked up someone named Winston Churchill. Neville Chamberlain was resigned from prime minister on May 10, 1940.
On November 9, 1940, a couple of months after his resign for prime minister Neville Chamberlain died, at the age of 70 years young, from a rare disease for women but a fairly common for men around his age called stomach cancer. People say he died in Heckfield, United Kingdom and died pretty quickly for what disease he came up with at the age of forty-nine. Neville Chamberlain lived a successful childhood and lived up to expectation with his brother and father being a political man. He was a man that stood up to what he believed in and filled up to the duties that called to him.
Neville Chamberlain loved what he did and wouldn’t change his duties for nothing in the world. Neville Chamberlain would fight for his peace against any county even the strongest country. Neville Chamberlain lived up to his mother’s and father’s dream and went even bigger than his parents would ever imagine. Neville Chamberlain ended up being in people’s opinion, one of the greatest prime ministers that came through Britain and one of the most popular mayors that has ever come through Birmingham, England. Neville Chamberlain wanted to be the best man that he could possibly be, and people say he achieved just that.
