Paradise Island Research Paper

pets. There were only one class and no one was better than the other. Since, Paradise Island was viewed as communism their was common ownership between everyone. The government did not own the people, they were just there to guide them and make sure the money of the society does not decrease. The money had not increased due to the Island being so distant from others and not making trades. Hopefully, a change can occur and the Island can associate and interact more with other, so that the society can expand. 3. How realistic is the utopia?

The utopia of Paradise Island differs from many other Utopian societies. The society was view as paradise. The reason why the society was viewed as paradise is because it is very peaceful. Money is not an issue and everyone is treated equally. The water of the beaches and ocean are so nice and blue. The sky is nice and baby blue. The air was not polluted and their were no garabage on the Island. Everywhere was so clean and people clean after themselves no matter where they are. As soon as people walk out of their houses they inhale the air outside.

Eveyone greet one another in a respectful manner. No one was every judged differently from the rest. People were only allowed to retired from their jobs at the age of 45. Citizens tend to work their entirely life, so once they reach a certain age range they had to leave their jobs. By the time children turn 16 years old they had to be prepared to start their own lives. The rule on Paradise Island was for children to move out of their parents’ homes at the age 18. So, between the ages of 16 and 18 children had to explore life.

They were allowed to take the planes and jets wherever they like on weekends. They children have the decision to stay on Paradise Island or move off the Island and start up a new life. Their families still supported them even with they wanted to move and start an entire new life. Some people did not like the lifestyle of everyone fairly being equal, so people wanted to have more money then they did previously. They felt like there was more to life, then living in Paradise Island and sharing everything. The best thing about the Island was that everyone was still family.

People bonds were so strong that they did not want to lose the beautiful relationships because real people are hard to find. All the children on the Island were raised together as one due to the Island being small and everyone having the ability to have a weekly checkup. “Feedback Friday” really helped families stay close and updated with one another. They tend to give one another advices and guide one another on the right track. Everyone that lived on Paradise Island had faith, when it came to family, religion, education, and respect. The order above means a lot to the citizens.

Family always comes first to the citizens because family members are always there during the time of need. However, everybody in the community considered one another as family, so there was always a shoulder for all of them to lean one. They all supported one another physically, mentally, spiritually and academically. Education was children’s first priority besides family. There was an after school program that all of the children in the society attended. The after school prepared the children for their next lecture and debates. In addition, the children were very active.

They all loved playing sports. Children had to get specific grades in school, in order to play sports and join teams. Once, a child did not do well in school academically they could not participate in any activities. Religion played a big part on families lives as well. For instance, every Fridays the individuals who practiced Islam went to Jumu’ah prayers and Christians attended church every Sunday. Everyone made sure not miss a prayer and also pray at home. Muslims manage to pray five times a day and regardless of their decision of religion they were all still family and supported one nother.

4. What do you find most appealing about the utopia? The way families bonded was the most appealing about this Island. Families came together to raise their children. Their children were taught certain things that led to their adulthood. In my opinion, that is quite different from today’s world because every family has their own way of raising their children and do not help one another. Some people tend to feel insulted when thers decide to put their input about their parenting styles. Many parents have their own style of how they raise their children.

I was brought up in an authoritarian home. Children that are raised with the same parenting style as I tend to have a better outcome in life. Being raised by foreign parents can also make a difference because they are from different countries and rules and regulations are usually different. People from foreign areas tend to base their lives upon morals. They want everything to be done up to their expectation because that his something that has occurred for centuries without any problems. Another appealing situation that occurred in my opinion is the ability for women to become presidents.

In today’s world, there has not been a women president yet. There have been 44 presidents in the United Staten and they all have been man. Presidency occurred in the United States of America since 1789 and it is 2015 and there has hardly been a change. The only change that occurred so far was President Barack Obama getting into office. Barack Obama is the first African American to ever be president of America. The Paradise Island is quiet different they had more than one black president. Blacks still tend to be treated in a negative way, but a lot of change has occurred.

Everything takes time in life, however in the Paradise Island race has never been an issue due to Paradise Island being such a diverse location. Schools not having any homework’s, paper pers, exams and other assignments sound so perfect. In today’s world, students have to fulfill all of those requirements. Assignments are always being provided to students. Students are always being penalized when they do not do their assignments. Professors tend to believe that giving students assignments help expand their knowledge.

When students do their assignments, Professor can also witness who does and does not pay attention. It is okay for students to engage in debates and lectures verbally, but it is not the same as critical thinking and doing their assignments. Taking exams and doing assignments acquires a lot of concentration and knowledge. In addition, schools make students safety their first priority Paradise Island has that in common with today’s world because there are school securities all around campuses. There is a zero tolerance for weapons.

Students from Paradise Island never engage in any deviant behaviors or crimes due to the society being so peaceful. No one tends to do crimes or act in any illegal behaviors. Due to Paradise Island being such a safe environment, prisons and jails did not exist. If anyone was to ever act upon in a negative way they only lose a privileged of spending time with their family or “Feedback Friday” because interacting with their love ones were very important to them. Family are the citizens first priority in this utopia.
