Do we always live in a happy world? Have we experienced living in a world with no worries? Are we always thankful and happy with what we have? Of course, nothing is perfect. Although, we all have that world in our mind where everything is perfect. You have nothing to worry about. However, it is not like that in reality. There are people who live in a world that they are not treated well enough or their rights have been taken away from them. Furthermore, I believe a dystopian world is where all the people do the same thing. No one is different.
They all have a similar life because the government controls what they do and makes decisions for them. Also, in an imperfect world, you do not feel accepted. You cannot express your feelings to anyone because you are afraid that they will not like you or will judge you based on what you tell them about yourself. For this reason, I chose the picture of a person’s head where they are trapped inside of their head and cannot get out. Not being able to share what you feel is like being trapped a room all by yourself and there is no one you could ask for advice from.
A dystopian world is where the government orders a group of people to monitor others from the sky with airplanes. This way they can record whatever you do or wherever you go and they will report you to the government if you do anything wrong. For instance, in 1984, people are forced to love only Big Brother and believe whatever the government has to say unless they disappear. For these reasons, I picked pictures where the airplanes are in the sky and the government is pointing its gun towards the people, which symbolizes force.
Although, in the picture where the person is talking into the other’s ear, it shows that they are spies and they are only in an imperfect world because government usually creates spies so that they will tell them whatever they see from people. That way, the government has the right to make them disappear so that they will not have an influence on other people because if they do, a group of citizens can go against the government. Nevertheless, technology is very harmful because technological advances give the government a lot of power and it makes the government’s job on controlling people very easy.
For example, in 1984, every comrade has a telescreen in their house and they are not able to hide from it nor turn it off. The telescreen always watches whatever you do and records everything you say. Therefore, in a dystopian world, people have no privacy. They are being always being watched. This is why| chose a picture of technology. As it advances, people lose their privacy more and more each time. Moreover, there is a picture of 2 boys putting their hands out and asking for food, which shows that in an imperfect world there are a lot of people who starve and no one does anything about it.
However, in a perfect world, people have each other’s back and if they know that someone needs something, they will try and help them to get what they want. In a dystopian world, there are group of people who always have a lot of power over others. For instance, people choose to have slaves. In an imperfect world, slavery increases everyday and it is wrong because one should not have a lot of power and make another to do whatever they ask. People should be treated the same and there should not be a difference between men or women because we are all humans.
There is no reason that one should be treated way better than others. Not only that, but there is a lot of racism in a dystopian world. People judge you on how you look or the way you act. For instance, in 1920s, a huge amount of white people used to treat black people differently because they had a different skin colour than them, which is pretty racist. No one should be judged on what they wear or what they look like. This is the way they are born and if they have a different skin colour, there is nothing they cannot do anything about it.
Therefore, people should be accepted just the way they are. Of course, in an imperfect world, people are not allowed to speak up and they are all the same because the government controls whatever they do. They do whatever the government asks them to do. Although, government uses its people to get others believe in specific things. The government can use people to pass around a message and make everyone to believe in lies, which in 1984 is referred to as “Doublethink” or as it says in V for Vendetta “Strength through unity, unity through faith.
Nevertheless, in dystopian world, death penalties happen a lot and it has an influence on children because they will always think that the government is right and that they should not listen to what others have to say. This way people are not able to protect themselves. However, in a perfect world, men and women are treated equally. For instance, they both get paid the same amount for doing the same job, which shows that no one is better than the other. They are all treated the same. Also, people have freedom.
They are not always controlled by the government, which gives them relaxation and keeping calm is needed in life because in order for you to do something right, you need to think clearly and if you are stressed, you might not think about it wisely. Of course, love, education, and family are very important because one needs to know that whenever they feel alone, there is someone out there who will always be there for them and accepts them as who they are. For instance, your family will always be there for you whenever you need them so you know that you are loved and taken care of by your family.
On the other hand, education is also very important because with knowledge you can defend yourself and help others learn more about the world. We all know that knowledge is power and with education no one can make you to be their slaves because you know that you should not always believe what people say and are not afraid to report the person. However, people who are not educated well, believe whatever people say because they do not have a lot of information on what is happening in the world or how they can defend themselves in any situation. Moreover, sports and free health care are very important.
They should be included in a perfect world because sports help you stay in shape and have a strong body, but if you get hurt and do not have a lot of money then, you can get the needs you want if you have a free health care. Also, in a perfect world, nature is very important because they help us to make the world better. For instance, with nature’s help, we can have clean air unlike dystopian world, it is full of dust because of war. Therefore, nature plays a big role in making the world look better, but not only that, creativity helps to produce things that are unique and makes things to standout and look irresistible.
Other than that, money and food are needed in a perfect world. We need food because we do not want to starve like how people do in dystopian world. We need food to grow so that our brain can function. Also, money is needed to pay for our education and to buy the things we need. For instance, buy clothes so it will keep us warm or food so that we will not starve. Lastly, in a perfect world, we need to help one another because that way they person will have achieve their goal and at the same time we learn something from them. The more we know about things, the more powerful we become because knowledge is power!
