Directive style: My role as a charge nurse is to oversee our unit. I am responsible for keeping a high level of patient care, assessing nurses and serving as an educational resource for nurses. I am also ensuring that my directions and expectations are clearly understood by the staff members. More often than not, I do a lot of coaching to nurses to facilitate the flow of work. It can be tough sometimes on my part because sometimes I end up spending a lot of coaching and monitoring them closely so they can be successful in completing their tasks. I am getting good job results from team members but inconsistently. The outcome of my leader-member relationship may not be of high-quality yet due to my being task-focused. But it is my hope that through this subject course I will be able to adopt or apply the different styles of leadership regardless what type of situation I will undergo at…
