“Shake Hands with the Devil” is a Canadian historical drama released on September 2007 by Seville Pictures based on the autobiography of Romeo Dallaire. Although not as moving as Hotel Rwanda, the film gives some of the details about the brutal events that occurred in the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. Roy Dupuis plays Romeo Dallaire, recounting Dallaire’s harrowing personal journey during the 1994 Rwandan Genocide and how the United Nations and ultimately the world, failed to heed his urgent pleas for further assistance that could have deterred the massacre.
