What active listening is a process of information, which uses all of our senses but mostly through perceiving sound? Our, hearing, smell, taste and touch are sensing that we sometimes use it without knowing. Listen correctly, can be crucial to encoding and decoding the message, for clarification and understanding what the message is. While deciphering messages, you get a sense of understanding what the message is saying. Next, is trying to remember or recall what you are trying to retain. Also, evaluating what you have decoded or deciphered is essential in understanding what message is.
When we actively listen, there is some paraphrasing during this process, where you have to restate information given by the speaker into your own words. Lastly, responding to the message with an answer, no matter if it’s for learning something, personal, enjoyment or even employment is basically the same for all, it is important to have active listening to skills. Yes, I do have that special someone who has helped me through many academic problems. I am fortunate to have a wonderful man in my life, who is my husband and he is an excellent communicator. He processes information quickly, while encodes and decodes information. Here a little background, when I got serious with my husband who was my then fiance I told him about my learning disability. I was very nervous about telling him about my secret I had kept my entire life. I was more embarrassed about how he would take the news, than the learning disability.
My husband embraced me and said if there anything I can do to help I will. Wow, I felt like the luckiest lady ever, how did I get so lucky? My husband has helped me with many things. I’ve always been attracted to knowledgeable people. Most of my friends are college graduates. I guess because I had such a horrible experience in school, because of my learning disability, I was by myself most of the time. Not wanting anyone to see firsthand the problems had. My mind wanders a lot. I am a very distracted person, and I always have been.
That’s why I choose distraction a: physical and mental and lack of appropriate focus that is me in a nutshell. My husband has been my biggest supporter telling me I can do anything I put my mind. He is my cheerleader, my confidant, my friend, and my critic. I can take constructive criticism; I do not get mad I learn from it. I try to turn everything into a learning experience it may take a couple of tumbles get back up and keep going. I’m like that watch that just won’t quit, it takes a licking but keeps on ticking. I sometimes tell my husband he should have been a teacher.
Because he is so patient and can explain anything in terms you can grasp, and it’s broken down for you, whereas before I could not get heads or tails out of it. Yes, this impacts my communication skills in a positive way. My husband is a firm believer in doing the best job you can with what you are capable of doing for yourself. John’s say he accredit his way of breaking things down to the nuns who taught him in Catholic school. So yes the way a husband communicates with me has most definitely helped in my areas in my life.

My first impression was not a good one; they looked like they were racist candidates. I know that we should not judge a book by its cover, so I wanted to look at this with an open mind. Because on election night when President-elect won, he said that he wanted to be the President for the people who did not vote for him as well as the people who did.
I thought maybe he would be a man of his word. Generally speaking, I actively listen to what President-elect Trump had to about why he made this choice in choosing these candidates’ (mit. edu 2010). Using my listen skills and watching how he presents himself seems to me he is a racist as well. But I can also give him the benefit of the doubt, but his body language says something else. Making good on campaign promises is one thing, but to put people in there, who is known to be racist is another. We have serious issues facing our country, and we need someone who can be serious, a good decision maker, and most of all put their own feeling aside and do what is right for the country. Are these choice moral, suitable and worthy of the billions of lives that they will affect? In my opinion, President-elect should take a page from President Obama’s playbook, and choose people from both sides of the aisles. In the end, I hope President-elect Trumps’ pick are productive for the United States of America.
