(Cuy) which are Guinea Pigs, are a big thing in Peru, they are a traditional Peruvian meal in Peru. It has been estimated that 65 million Guinea Pigs are consumed in the state of Peru!!! It’s said to have an amazing taste! Peru was officially declared as the world’s biggest producer of cocaine in 2013 by the United Nations. Lots of Wildlife and amazing moments have been experienced and discovered in Peru. Climbing and hiking are the most popular activities! (See picture #! below! ) The Amazon River, isn’t just the largest river in the World, but it is also the the river that is used for drainage in the whole world!
Imagine it 60% of Peru is all the Amazon River!! The Amazon River plays a really big role. Many Marine lives are produced in it, there is life in and around the Amazon River. Peru is also known for climbing mountains, the Huascaran Mountain is the Peruvians favorite, it’s very large and difficult to climb, but it’s popular for its height. Sabancaya is the most active volcano in peru. It is surrounded with glaciers. It isn’t a good volcano, it’s dangerous and may hurt people living somewhat near it. Peru has many land features. Many Peruvians like to hike the Inca Trail which is kind of like a highland.
This Trail takes place in Macchu Picchu, which is an Incan citadel in Peru. The Peruvian Rain Forest contains the Amazon RIver, it provides many other rivers and animals, lots of life. The Peruvian Amazon, is to the East of the Andes Mountain in Peru, and borders with other states such as Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia. Peru’s weather is different from ours. According to USA TODAY, Peru has 2 seasons, Summer and Winter including their precipitation. From June to August, which is pretty much like our warm weather, they have Winter.
Then somewhere from December through around February, which is like our cold weather, that is their Summer. Of course it takes a few more weeks maybe even months to eventually fully wrap up, precipitation is thrown into the in betweens of their months. In their Winter, their temperature may drop all the way down to -10? C. Which here in North America it would be 14? F. It can get really cold, so people who aren’t able to afford to find a way to stay warm, or in general if you can’t stay warm during this cold temperature, you can get frostbite, die, or get some serious sickness.
The existence of Rainfall, and Snowfall (which is precipitation) also assists South America. In their Summer, their temperature may reach up to 95 ? F! Even though it may still be warm, there are people from South America who aren’t economical, they don’t live averagely and can’t montain certain important things in their lives. It can get pretty highly hot in Peru, and there are somewhat a few desserts, if you aren’t able to provide yourself some water, you can get dehydrated, which can be dangerous, you would be risking your health, you have to have water in general.
There are many plants and animals in Peru, South America that we have never seen or even heard of in North America. The Puya Raimondii is a plant in Peru, and is the largest species of Bromeliads, it is native in Bolivia, and Peru only. There are large populations in certain places. The Palm Tree is another very common and very beautiful plant that you may plant indoors as well as outdoors. They are found on beaches, and are just plainly known as Palm Trees. Bromeliads are a very colorful type of plant that you may plant in your house or in gardens, they are easy to plant and maintain.
And finally the most popular plant, Moss, Moss is actually also easily found here in North America. Moss usually grow in damp or shady locations, they are small flowerless plants. Just like plants, there are many animals in Peru. The Alpaca’s are a very common animal in Peru, their presence is also here in the North, Alpaca’s are related to llamas, they are mainly raised for soft wool, to make products out of it, such as clothing, maybe even shoes or extras, to have in stock. The White-Fronted Capuchin is a type of monkey that is found in seven different countries.
In South America such as Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago. They have been caught using leaves as cups to drink. Tanagers are a type of bird species, they comprise up to build a group family called Thraupidae. They usually are seen picking at insects, or other small animals, as their meals, or sometimes in flight, but their major dietary item, is fruit. Peru, isn’t the largest State in South America, but it has a pretty large population. In 2013 the population was 30. 38 million. The population density is 24. 0, and this was last taken notice in 2014.
Their homes aren’t much different from ours, like there are some places where there are nice houses, but there are also places where the houses are smaller, and a bit more like worn out, and strange colors are used to paint houses, like orange, red, yellow etc, like Mexico home colors. There are many different jobs in Peru, a lot are related to the ones we have here. People can work, as security guards at the plaza, which is the “mall”, photographers, police officers, there are painters, mechanics, pilots, and many more.
They’re major religion in Peru, is the Roman Catholic, there are also Christian faiths. Apart from these religions, there are also Indigenous Peruvians. Some sports played in Peru are, Soccer, Volleyball, Cockfighting (chickens), racing, football. Cockfighting, is when 2 chickens are put together, and they like start reacting to each other, it’s like a fight. There are a few ways to transport in Peru. People may ride trains as transportation, but it is pretty limited.
People can also fly in planes, and they can ride buses and cars. They may rent cars as well. These are traditions in Peru, that have been there for so long. Peru got it’s name when the Spanish Conquistadors arrived in Central America, in 1521 to 1522. It’s is located in the Northern Western of South America. (look at pictures below) Peru is very oftenly known for it’s large climbing mountains, and rivers. The Amazon Rain Forest provides lots of life, and the Amazon River. This, is Peru, the state most known for hiking.
