John Rambo and Jack Ryan: Men America Can Count On?

John Rambo and Jack Ryan are two iconic American characters. They both have been played by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and they both represent different sides of what it means to be an American. John Rambo is a Vietnam War veteran who becomes a one-man army when he’s pushed too far. Jack Ryan is a CIA analyst who is thrust into the middle of international crises. Both men are patriots who will do whatever it takes to protect their country. But which one is the better man?

It’s hard to compare John Rambo and Jack Ryan. They’re both incredibly tough and brave, and they’re both patriots who love their country. John Rambo is more of a lone wolf, while Jack Ryan works within the system. John Rambo is all about action, while Jack Ryan is all about thinking. Both men are incredibly competent in their own ways, and both have proven themselves time and again.

In the end, it’s up to the individual to decide who the better man is. John Rambo and Jack Ryan are both men America can count on, and they’re both men who will always fight for what they believe in.

Jack Ryan and John Rambo are two great characters. They are trustworthy, honest, brave under pressure, and defend the principles of truth, justice, and the American way. Attempting to convince people that men like Rambo and Ryan exist, Sylvester Stallone and Harrison Ford do their absolute best.

John Rambo is a Vietnam vet who can’t seem to find his place in society. All he wants to do is be left alone in the mountains of Colorado, but fate has other plans. He’s constantly being drawn back into a world of violence and destruction, but he always comes out on top. Jack Ryan is a CIA analyst who finds himself in the middle of international intrigue and terrorist plots. He’s smart, resourceful, and always manages to save the day. Both of these men are truly America’s heroes.

Not even Sylvester Stallone or James T. Fonda can persuade me that these guys are real. Rambo is able to not only foil his corrupt, superior American officer trying to sabotage his mission, but also wipe out an entire army of Vietnamese and Russian soldiers and save a few POWs. Because he fights for the truth, Jack Ryan defies the United States as well as the world’s largest Colombian drug empire.

I don’t buy it. These are not the kind of men I want protecting me. These are the men America counts on? John Rambo and Jack Ryan? Men who go against all odds and come out on top, despite the overwhelming opposition? I’m not convinced.

Rambo is a one-man army, able to take on an entire army of Vietnamese and Russian soldiers and come out victorious. He also manages to save a group of POWs in the process. Jack Ryan takes on the Colombian drug cartel and the US government and comes out on top. I don’t buy it.

Sure, Stallone and Ford are great actors, but I don’t believe that these kinds of men actually exist in real life. John Rambo and Jack Ryan are the stuff of fiction, not reality.

Another distinguishing feature of the two films, Rambo / First Blood Part II (George P. Cosmatos, 1985) and Clear and Present Danger (Phillip Noyce, 1994), is the differences exhibited by the characters despite their similar mission objectives. John Rambo is a more renegade figure than his mentor Colonel Trautman; he’s a decorated Vietnam War veteran with only his trainer at his side.

Jack Ryan is a family man, with a beautiful wife and daughter, and the support of the President of the United States. Though their actions are both patriotic, John Rambo does what he does for himself, while Jack Ryan does it for his country. John Rambo is a lone wolf, while Jack Ryan is part of a team.

Another interesting aspect is how John Rambo and Jack Ryan’s enemies are different. Colonel Zaysen and General Mikhailov represent Russia in the films, but they could not be more different in terms of personality and tactics. Colonel Zaysen is calm and collected, while General Mikhailov is hot-headed and impulsive. Colonel Zaysen wants to win by using his brain, while General Mikhailov wants to win through brute force.

John Rambo and Jack Ryan are two men who represent America in different ways, but they are both men that America can count on. John Rambo is a lone wolf who does things for himself, while Jack Ryan is part of a team and does things for his country. They both have their own way of fighting their battles, but they are both effective in their own right. John Rambo and Jack Ryan are two men America can count on.

This would undoubtedly be a blow to his public reputation and credibility. The thoughtless, fickle public would subsequently overlook all of the great things he accomplished in the war because he destroyed a “innocent town.”

Jack Ryan, on the other hand, is an essential member of the CIA and a highly honorable profession to hold. It’s also been shown that Jack Ryan is a decent person who isn’t violent unless absolutely forced to be. Little may alter people’s perceptions about him. Rambo and Jack Ryan are the only males capable of “saving” America from its ills, according to their own movies.

John Rambo is a man of action, while Jack Ryan is a thinker. John Rambo acts first and thinks later, while Jack Ryan takes the time to think things through before acting. This is evident in the scene where John Rambo goes on his rampage in First Blood and in the scene where Jack Ryan tries to talk the Russian president out of launching nuclear missiles in The Hunt for Red October. John Rambo is a man who America can count on to get the job done, no matter ho

w violent it may be. Jack Ryan is a man who America can count on to think things through and find a peaceful resolution. In conclusion, John Rambo and Jack Ryan are two very different men, but they are both men that America can count on. John Rambo is a man of action who will get the job done, no matter what.
