Three things I learned this summer
Summer is the time of year when you are supposed to relax and enjoy the heat of the sun. Summer is the time where you can go swimming, have BBQ’s, go camping, have bonfires, go tubing, go boating, go fishing, and do all sorts of thing. Summer is the time of the year where they have derbies, circuses, carnivals, and fairs. In the summer there is also rodeos and concerts. Summer is the time of year where you can go to bed whenever you want to. You can stay up late and not have to worry about going to school the next day. I have learned many things this summer. Barely a month and half in of summer and I have learned so many interesting things in summer school. The things that I learned in summer school are very useful tool for when I become a junior and a senior.
One thing I learned in summer school was to become a better writer. In summer school we write an essay of five paragraphs everyday on different topics. I learned how to compose a paper and organize it better than I did before. I have improved in my writing ever since I started summer school. I have also learned to read. I learned what I missed out on first semester of last year. Biology to me has always been an interesting subject and I have also enjoyed sciences. I learned about photosynthesis, the cell cycle, and about how plants travel. I also learned many other topics prior to that but those are the ones that I can remember. I enjoyed doing biology in summer school because I was always ahead of everyone else. While it was just me and this other person working on biology the others were working on earth science. I also thank Mr. Barrus for teaching me all those things when I needed help. I cannot how much I have improved in these subjects over the past few weeks. And how much I have learned in biology.
