Suicide is Not an Option In most cases, committing suicides the choice of lunatic, shortsighted people that don’t have the means or courage to solve their own problems. People commit suicide when they face a problem they consider unsolvable, but such a problem does not exist. All problems have a solution, therefore no one should commit suicide. “Suicide is the tenth leading cause of death overall; third among 15- to 24-year-olds and fourth among 25to 44-year-olds. ” Some of the main causes of suicide are bullying, cyberbullying, financial difficulties, and the death of close ones.
The death of a close one can be shocking, mentally impairing, and in many cases may lead to suicide. It may be true that it is difficult to cope with a problem as emotionally damaging as this one, but suicide is not a wise choice and can be an insult to the deceased. One has to accept the nature of the life cycle and move one. Meaninglessly pondering about someone’s death will not bring them back to life, and killing yourself will not allow you to meet them either. Instead one should remember that those whom he held dearly always wished the best possible future for him.
One should live with that in mind and aspire to live a meaningful life before he dies. A common reason many adults commit suicide is financial crises. After living a lavish life for quite a while they start losing money. The closer they become to poverty the more depressed they are, and eventually they can’t tolerate their losses. Suicidal thoughts consume and they eventually kill themselves. In my opinion the loss of money is not an insuperable problem. In my opinion, it is simply about your perspective.
Every day you notice many impoverished people making the most out of their lives nd eagerly anticipating new chances, but at the same time you notice wealthy people in distress and always yearning for more belongings. If you are thankful for all the blessings you have, you can live a happy life while being destitute of all belongings and treasures. One of the most common reason teens commit suicide is bullying. In my opinion, there is two types of bullying; cyberbullying and physically bullying someone. There are those who claim these two are one and the same, but I personally disagree.
When someone with greater power is bullying you, it becomes difficult to retaliate or escape due to your physical disadvantage. In a situation like this, you are an oppressed victim who needs to consult a responsible adult about the matter. On the other hand, when you are being cyberbullied, you can easily escape and retaliate. If someone keeps insulting you on social media you have several options. One, you can waste your time and respond to his insignificant insults. Two, you can use the block feature to reduce his existence to an oblivion from your perspective.
Three, if you are afraid to do the above two options, simply disable push notifications and ignore all derogatory texts being sent to you. Technically I was cyberbullied before. People used my name on the internet for malicious purposes, but that didn’t affect me. There were also those who attempted to mock my beliefs on the internet, but they failed to cause a change in my disposition. . All these encounters on the internet did not have a negative effect on me. Rather I found it absurd to be sad about something as trivial as this.
Before I looked up the definition of cyberbullying, I never considered myself cyberbullied. I always thought cyberbullying was something I never experienced. I lived my life according to the adage, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words may never hurt me. ” Speaking from my experience, I find it preposterous to kill yourself over a matter as pathetic as this one. Suicide is not limited to poor, distressed, and bullied people. Some of the most famous celebrities commit suicide. A great example is the suicide of Robin Williams. Some say Robin
Williams experienced depression and as a result he killed himself. I honestly don’t see why he would get depressed. He was a popular actor and comedian, he lived a life many wished for, and yet that did not prevent him from killing himself. It can be really shocking when a celebrity commits suicide. I am astonished that they were not satisfied with their life even though they receive money and fame for doing what they love. Life is like a roller coaster ride, full of ups and downs, but living through these difficulties is what forms a strong, firm, and reliable person.
Giving up along the way and taking your life is a form of cowardice. “Suicidal people View death as an emergency exit, which promises safety, escape from danger and hope. Yet, trying to flee a life that has so many joys for humanity is like being given an expensive sports car and leaving it in a vacant parking lot the first time it needs maintenance” (Hunter 34). One will never have an acceptable reason for suicide. As long as those who are oppressed and famished around the world continue to survive and look forward, they will trample upon your reason for suicide and render it pathetic.
