This build in military led surrounding nations to become uneasy of their own interests and start to build up their forces as well to defend their interests in case of other nations attacks. This build up in military force showed just how strong certain nations could become no matter how small. Great Britain was just an island, yet they had such a strong military; Although, their military was mostly made up of a strong Navy.
