The North American Hockey League (NAJHL) is a Junior A hockey league based in the United States and Canada. The NAJHL was founded in 1975, making it one of the oldest Junior A leagues in North America. The NAJHL is sanctioned by Hockey Canada and USA Hockey.
The NAJHL is made up of 20 teams, split evenly between the United States and Canada. The teams are located in Alberta, British Columbia, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Quebec, and Wisconsin.
The Springfield Jr. Blues are proud to be a part of the North American Hockey League. The Jr. Blues have been an important part of the Springfield community since their founding in 1961.
The Springfield Statesmen Hockey Organization will participate in the North American Junior Hockey League (NAJHL). The NAJHL is a Division A junior hockey league, which is the top level of junior hockey in the United States. The league has eight teams located in the Great Lakes Region of the United States and primarily features players aged 16 to 20. Each team plays a twenty-game season.
The Springfield Statesmen Hockey Organization is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization, which means that all donations made to the team are tax deductible. The other teams in the league compete for a championship title in a mid-season all-star game and a league tournament that ends the season by crowning a league champion. The Ice Palace, which is owned by the City of Springfield, will serve as the team’s home rink. There are three main seating levels at the Ice Palace (3,000 people). It has four locker rooms, eight restroom facilities, an arcade room, an athletic training area, a weight room, and a big space available for corporate events. Green is used throughout most of the team’s colors.
The North American Junior Hockey League (NAJHL) is a Tier II Junior A ice hockey league under Hockey Canada and the United States Hockey League (USHL). The NAJHL is one of ten member leagues of the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL).
The NAJHL was founded in 1975. The league originally consisted of teams from Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. In its early years, the NAJHL was considered to be a tier III league. In 1983, the league was upgraded to tier II status. In 1998, the league lost its tier II status, but was regained in 2003.
The NAJHL is currently made up of eighteen teams, all of which are located in the United States. The teams are:

The NAJHL season runs from September through March. Each team plays 56 games during the regular season, 28 home games and 28 away games. In addition, league members play in a mid-season all-star game and in a league tournament that culminates the season by declaring a league champion.
The NAJHL is considered to be a developmental league for the USHL. Many of the players who play in the NAJHL go on to play in the USHL, NCAA Division I, and even professional Hockey. Hockey Hall of Fame member Mike Modano is one of the most notable examples of an NHL player who began his career in the NAJHL.
Some other notable NHL alumni include: Neal Broten, John Vanbiesbrouck, Phil Housley, Aaron Broten, Tony Amonte, and Curtis Joseph.
The NAJHL is headquartered in Springfield, Illinois. The league office is located in the Hockey House, which is also the home of the Springfield Jr. Blues Hockey Club. The Hockey House is a 6,000 square foot facility that houses the offices of the NAJHL, the Springfield Jr. Blues Hockey Club, and the Springfield Junior Hockey Association.
The NAJHL is governed by an eleven-member Board of Directors. The Board consists of six members from US Hockey League member clubs, two at-large members, one representative from Hockey Canada, one representative from USA Hockey, and the Commissioner of the NAJHL.
The current Commissioner of the NAJHL is Mark Adams. He was appointed to the position in June of 2016.

The majority of men and women aged 35-44 years old live in the city. Springfield is Illinois’ capital city, as well as home to many state agencies.
Springfield is centrally located in the state and is within a day’s drive of one-third of the nation’s population. The city has been rated as one of the top five most livable small cities in America.
The North American Junior Hockey League (NAJHL) is an elite junior hockey league that operates in the Midwest region of the United States. The NAJHL is dedicated to providing its member clubs with the highest level of competition possible, while also promoting the growth and development of each individual player within the league.
The NAJHL is committed to the safety and well-being of all its players, and works diligently to create a positive environment for all those involved in the league. The NAJHL is also dedicated to the continued growth of junior hockey in North America, and works closely with Hockey Canada and USA Hockey to promote the game at all levels.
The Springfield Junior Blues are a proud member of the North American Junior Hockey League (NAJHL). The Junior Blues compete in the Midwest Division of the NAJHL, and play their home games at the Nelson Center in Springfield, Illinois. The team is made up of players from all over the United States and Canada, who come to Springfield to pursue their dreams of playing junior hockey at the highest level.
